The works chosen for the online edition of the Turin exhibition Flashback privilege the chronological period at the turn of the Twentieth century, touching and intersecting artistic movements such as Symbolism (Cesare Laurenti, Elegiac Motif), Divisionism (Arturo Noci, Girl in profile; Elica Balla, Inspiration), Cubism (Giuseppe Piccone, Boxer), and the Novecento group promoted by Margherita Sarfatti (Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Il Galoppatoio at Villa Borghese; Luigi Trifoglio, Portrait of the surgeon Gino Pieri).

A set of rare works by Vittorio Zecchin testifies to the multifaceted genius of the Murano artist, universally known among the greatest glass masters of the Twentieth century, also in the field of painting (Timoni romagnoli), furniture (Bench and Sideboard, variants of the series conceived for the 1923 Biennale of decorative arts in Monza) and mosaic (Angel), works that are among the greatest expressions of the Deco style in Italy.
